Description
It feeds on fish, amphibians, reptiles, chicks of other birds and small mammals, larvae and adult insects, spiders, crustaceans and molluscs. The Eurasian bittern or great bittern is a part of the heron family. It is a big bird of brownish color, which allows it to blend in wonderfully with its environment. They live primarily among reeds, where they also build hollow nests.
