In comparison with other types of warblers, the lesser whitethroat often shows itself to people and sings from the trees. Its singing is similar to fast but silent chatter.

Description
The nesting area of this species is a semi-open landscape with shrubs, such as forest margins, isolated trees in fields, orchards, landscapes with borders and larger gardens. This is a fairly common summer species in Slovenia.
