Opis
They start nesting in the summer, near water. Despite their weight, they are excellent aviators that fly over hundreds of miles during their migrations. Their flocks fly in a perfect V-shape, thus reducing their air resistance and energy consumption. Birds from the north of Europe spend most of their time in the Mediterranean and, on the way, they often land in resting areas (ponds) where they feed and restore the fat reserves they need for the rest of the summer and winter. They eat seeds and grass, but will also consume fish eggs and frogs.
